If your earning ability has been permanently reduced by at least fifty per cent due to illness, injury or impairment, you may be entitled to disability pension. It must be substantiated that expedient treatment and individual, appropriate work-related mearures cannot improve your earning ability.
NAV decides whether you meet the requirements for disability pension. As a rule, you must have been a memeber of the National Insurance scheme for at least the last three years before you became disabled. Exeptions can be made. You must be between the ages of 18 and 67, and, as the rule, you must still be a member of the National Insurance scheme.
