Collective redundancies

By 'collective redundancies' is meant notice of dismissal given to at least ten employees within a period of 30 days, without being warranted by reasons relating to the individual employees.

Employer who is considering collective redundancies must discuss this with the employees' representatives with a view to reaching an agreement to avoid collective redundancies or to reduce the number of redundancies.
